Dr. El-Farra's research interests include process systems engineering, nonlinear process control and estimation, analysis and control of hybrid systems, fault-tolerant control using switched actuator/sensor configurations, control of transport-reaction and particulate processes, computational modeling, simulation and systems-level analysis of biological systems.
